This soldering iron is durable, easy to operate, and heats up in a matter of 20 seconds. When this soldering iron reaches optimal heat, it instantly melts silicon, so mending tears won't be a problem. Although make sure to not mend an empty tear without filling the tear with a piece of silicon. Using your soldering iron on an empty tear will only make the damage bigger, although it will melt close, it will deform and will eventually reopen from excess use. Make sure to have spare silicon for taking pieces of it and placing inside tears on your toy for mending, I took a piece of silicon from my broken toy to be used on a repairable toy. This tool has no flaws from my experience, just plug it into an outlet on your wall, heats up and it's ready for mending.
